And then added to this, don't forget to Trust in Divine Guidance

Sufficient exercise is needed to keep the mind and body healthy & vigorous.  Exercise helps keep all the faculties of the human body running smoothly.  A wise woman once said that whatever affects the body has a corresponding effect on the brain, affecting the thought processes & inner feelings & emotions.

I have read that when God created Adam and placed him in the garden to take care of it, He intended for him to gain happiness and strength from the labor exercised in so doing.  Adam delighted in the beauty of the garden, and this, combined with the labor of caring for it, brought a wonderful balance to all the organs of his body.

To derive the greatest health benefits, we need to spend a portion of our time in the great out-of-doors, in the fresh open air physically exercising, being invigorated to do our best in everything we do. Thus, we find that a proper amount of exercise out-of-doors works wonders towards improving mind and body, and also in achieving our highest goals.

The relationship which exists between mind and body is very intimate. When one is affected, the other sympathizes. The condition of the mind affects the health to a far greater degree than many realize.

Grief, stress, anxiety, discontent, remorse, guilt, distrust, all tend to break down the life forces and to invite decay and death, while courage, trust, hope, faith, sympathy, and love, promote health and prolong life. A contented mind, a happy, peaceful spirit, is health to the body and strength to the soul. "A merry rejoicing heart doeth good like a medicine." Proverbs 17:22.

We learn that when the mind is free and happy, combined with doing right things with a sense of satisfaction in bringing happiness to others, it creates an inner peace that will react upon the whole system, thus bringing about a freer circulation of the blood and a toning-up of the entire body.

The blessings of God are a healing power, and those who are abundant in benefiting others will realize that wondrous blessing in the depths of their hearts and in everything they do in their everyday lives.

In the out-of-doors "The air cycle is a wonderful sequence of giving and receiving.  Plants take in carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen, which provides fresh air for us to breathe.  Our cells use the oxygen to give energy to the body, producing carbon dioxide, which is released through our lungs into the air."  Excerpt from the book, The Lost Art of Thinking page 250. (Author Dr. Neil Nedley)

Body and mind benefits from exercise that invigorates the whole person. The physical organism should have special care - care that the powers of the body may not be dwarfed, but developed to their full extent. By active exercise in the open air every day, the liver, kidneys, and lungs will be strengthened to perform their work well.

Aerobic Exercises are Good for You!

Regardless of your age or weight, you will find aerobic exercises good for you. Regular aerobic activity such as walking, bicycling, swimming, etc., affects the heart, lungs, and blood flow, and helps us live longer and healthier.

Lets take a look at how the body responds to aerobic exercise.

During aerobic activity, the large muscles in the arms, legs and hips are moving repeatedly, and the body responds quickly; You breathe faster and more deeply, and this maximizes the amount of oxygen in the blood. The heart beats faster, which increases blood flow to the muscles and back to the lungs, and the small blood vessels (capillaries) widen to deliver more oxygen to the muscles and carry away waste products, such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid. The body releases endorphins, natural painkillers that promote an increased sense of well-being.

By doing aerobic exercises the immune system is activated, leaving the body less susceptible to illnesses, and reducing the risk of many diseases. The heart is strengthened, so it is able to pump blood more efficiently, improving blood flow to all parts of the body.

An interesting thought here is that Aerobic exercise helps boost the high-density lipoprotein (HDL or "good") cholesterol, and lower the low-density lipoprotein (LDL or "bad") cholesterol.  The potential result can be less buildup of plaques in the arteries.

When you feel depressed do some aerobic exercises! This helps to reduce the tension associated with anxiety, and promotes a more relaxed mood.

Aerobics help keep the muscles strong, and helps maintain mobility in aging.  The mind is kept sharp and focused; And studies show  people who participate in regular aerobic exercise tend to live longer.

Bless the Lord, Oh my soul: & all that is within me, bless His holy Name. Bless the Lord, Oh my soul, & forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases; Who redeems your life from destruction; Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies;

Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth

is renewed like the Eagles. Ps. 105:4-8

Rebounding for Health and Healing giving one a Sense of Well-Being

Rebounding on a mini trampoline works to cleanse and decongest the lymph system in our bodies.  It increases immunity, circulation and muscle strength, and helps to reduce body fat, lower cholesterol, and improve coordination and balance, providing one with an all around sense of well-being.

Rebounding, or bouncing on a mini-trampoline, is the pre-eminent lymphatic pump. When the body soars to its highest point, its apex, it achieves a state of weightlessness. It then lands at twice the force of gravity. Herein lies the pump. At impact, the lymph is squeezed through vessels, forcing toxic wastes into the bloodstream so that the cells and tissues are cleansed, nourished and oxygenated. Rebounding increases endorphins, brightens the spirit and staves off depression.

The benefits of using a good quality rebounder are numerous.  Rebounding, together with plenty of outdoor exercise, can do wonders for body and mind, restoring the health, and bringing a sense of completeness.

There are several brands of rebounders available, and it would be good to do a research of the different name brands to find the rebounder that suits you best.  My personal preference in rebounders for quality and durability, and the ones I use at home, are the Cellerciser, created by David Hall, and the Needak rebounder.
