Inspiration for
Health & Eating

The Bible encourages us to "eat for strength"!

I believe we all want good health and a clear mind.  But too often we allow our taste buds to rule, rather than giving thought to how the food we eat will become a part of us, and will affect our strength and our minds.

If we would have good health, we must have good blood; for the blood is the current of life. It repairs waste, and nourishes the body. When supplied with the proper nutrients, and when cleansed and vitalized by contact with pure air, it carries life and vigor to every part of the system, including the brain.

What we eat is important to the health of our blood.  Eating our food in as natural a state as possible is the best way to stay healthy, and often the best way to regain our health.

We are what we eat!  The foods we consume become the cells and tissues of our bodies. In order to have high energy, healthy blood, and to prevent chronic diseases, we need to eat foods high in nutrition and dietary fiber.

Fresh fruits and vegetables, unprocessed nuts, legumes, seeds, and whole grains (unmodified) are the best foods we can eat.  Especially should we choose a variety of colorful fruit, the colors of the rainbow, and a variety of fresh, natural grown vegetables, and the more colorful they are, the better their healthy properties.

It is important to eat food as close to its natural state as possible, rather than eating foods that have gone through refinement and processing. Eat foods as much (as possible) the way they came from the good earth.

For those who choose to eat flesh foods, you might want to take a second look at what you are eating, for though you are eating what the animals eat, you are getting it all second hand!  The animals receive from these things the nutrition that produces growth for them. The life that was in the grains and vegetables passes into the eater. We receive it by eating the flesh of the animal, but would it not be far better to get our food direct from the earth, instead of second hand, and we can have this by eating the food that God provided for our use!

Please note:  With so much going on in the world of food these days; with so much food genetically engineered and modified, and heavily fertilized with chemicals, it can be overwhelming to know just what is right to eat and filled with life-giving properties. Many of the products we purchase can prove harmful to the human body and the environment.  But be encouraged to do your best wherever you are and in whatever circumstances you find yourself, and choose the foods that have the best options.  Look for Organic &

non-GMO, and naturally grown wherever and whenever possible, and try to stay as close to Whole Foods, as possible, keeping in mind of course, there may be some things that can not be avoided.

The best thing we can do for ourselves is to be at peace with ourself in the choices we make. It is important that we Keep our goals and visions in mind and keep striving in that direction.
